Scribble is a gem of a musical comedy about a group of downtown boo-hoo boys surviving on double shots of human spirit. In ‘Scribble’ people who are down but not out – broke, lonely, ugly, fat, crippled and shy – keep their hopes alive through a suggestion box at the bar at Basil’s Ballroom. Here they jot down their dreams – anything from a free beer or a new TV to a new life. There’s a bar stool permanently reserved for the special guest they know will one day arrive to hand out a few miracles.
